UFC 103 to be in Dallas

The Ultimate Fighting Championship has confirmed that they will stage the UFC 103 event at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on September 19th.

UFC vice-president of regulatory affairs Marc Ratner confirmed the news on GoodSports Radio on Wednesday.

“We’re going to Oklahoma City September 16th  and going from [there] to Dallas on September 19th he said. “That’s a big week for us.”

Britney Spears is set to hold one of her comeback conerts on the day before the UFC event, something that could prove a logistical nightmare.

“The tough part when you have a concert on Friday night is we can’t load in. Getting the Octagon and all those things, it’s a real process,” said Ratner. “As soon as that concert’s over, maybe at two in the morning, we start building that Octagon and getting everything ready…there’s a lot of logistics to it.”
