Gracie

The most well known and respected family name in MMA. You certainly can’t deny the legendary abilities of the Gracie Brothers, from the oldest to the youngest.

Gracies were instrumental in the beginnings of the MMA, as well as actively competing in it, they are among the most influental group of people in the history of MMA.

Gracie family members who have actively helped to organize the UFC or fought there are:

Royce Gracie:professional mixed martial arts and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner.(See UFC Hall of Fame.

Relson Gracie, who assisted, along with brothers Rorion, Rickson, and Royler,to train their brother Royce for the first UFC fights.

Rorion Gracie: one of the founders of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. He had a vision of gladiators who did not look away from violent contests.

Royler Gracie: black belt fighter in Brazilian Jiu Jittsu, the only person to ever win the ADCC Submission Wrestling World Championship three years in a row, and has since won several more times, making him the ADCC Champion more often than anyone else in history. Royler was defeated in 2003 in Abu Dhabi. He is also a 4 x World Jiu Jitsu Champion.
