Buy tickets now for UFC 218: Holloway vs. Aldo 2

By on November 15, 2017

hollowayJose Aldo will attempt to take back his featherweight title against current champion Max Holloway on Dec. 2, and you can be there live by getting tickets for UFC 218 today!

Jose Aldo has been named as Max Holloway’s opponent after previous opponent, Frankie Edgar, was injured and ruled unable to compete next month. The switch will give Aldo the chance to avenge one of his only two losses in the last twelve years, and you can bet that the former champ will do his best to set everything straight.

However, Holloway is perhaps the most skilled pound-for-pound fighter in the sport right now, having won all 11 of his fights since a disappointing 2013 decision loss to Conor McGregor. Holloway has grown up in the spotlight, as all but his first four fights have been in the UFC, and he may be maturing into a once-in-a-generation talent. He’ll have to beat Aldo again to prove it, though.

A heavyweight fight of titanic proportions will also be featured on the card, as Francis Ngannou and Alistair Overeem will face off in a match between two of the hardest hitting fighters in the game today. Ngannou, who is rightfully nicknamed “Predator,” won his last fight when he starched Andrei Arlovski in the first round with punches. He has finished all of his last three UFC fights in under two minutes each.

Overeem, of course, is no slouch himself. He’s been involved in some of the most memorable brawls of the last few years and is still hoping to become the only man ever to win both the Strikeforce and UFC heavyweight championships.

In another standout bout, flyweight Henry Cejudo will attempt to work his way back into the title picture as he faces the talented Sergio Pettis, who has won four fights straight. Cejudo has lost just twice in his MMA career, with both losses coming to current or former flyweight champs. After defeating Wilson Reis in September, Cejudo wants to build on that momentum with a quick turnaround and a victory over Pettis.

Other fights will feature former lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez, Michelle “Karate Hottie” Waterson, Felice Herrig, and other fan favorites. Make sure to be there live by getting tickets now for UFC 218. The event will take place live on Dec. 2 at Detroit, Michigan’s Little Caesars Arena.
