Alves vs. Fitch rematch moved to UFC 117

UFC President Dana White has confirmed that the rematch between Thiago Alves and Jon Fitch has been moved to UFC 117.

White has confirmed the reason for the delay is to make sure Alves have had enough time to recover from the brain surgery that he underwent on March 31.

“Making sure Alves is 1000 percent healthy,” White told MMA Fighting when asked the reason for the move to UFC 117.

UFC 117 is expected to take place on August 7 in Oakland, California.
