Anderson ready to make move up to heavyweight

Brazilian fighter Anderson Silva has admitted he is ready to make the move up to heavyweight for a ‘superfight’.

But the UFC champion has ruled out facing heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar.

“I might, but it’s Rodrigo [Nogueira]’s division, so it would have to be just a superfight, not a run for the title,” he told Tatame TV last weekend.

“Thats out of the question, it would be disrespectful of me, very pretentious, to want to fight the champion,” he explained, adding, “And it is also a weight category in which it is easy to get hurt.”
