Arona set for UFC debut

Ricardo Arona could be set to make his debut for the UFC, following recent comments he has made.

Arona fought at PRIDE from 2001 through 2007 and impressed in the light heavyweight class.

Arona has managed to beat among others Alistair Overeem, Wanderlei Silva, Kazushi Sakuraba and Dan Henderson.

“I can’t talk about this project right now, but there’s a connection between me and the UFC now, something concrete that I didn’t have before,” Arona is quoted as saying to TATAME.com.

“My return will be in the end of the year and will be in the UFC.”
