UFC heavyweight Pat Barry will be out of action for at least two months after he underwent surgery on his thumb on Thursday.
Barry won the Fight of the Night and Knockout of the Night honors at the UFC 104 event this past weekend.
“I’m sitting in a hospital robe,” he told MMAjunkie.com Radio just before entering the operation room. “They really do have your butt stick out exposed. You’d think they would have fixed these things by now.”
Barry was nervous ahead of the surgery that will keep him out of action for at least two months.
“They said it’ll depend on how I heal,” he said. “I told them I’m a wolverine and it won’t take very long.”
