Vitor Belfort believes Nate Marquardt deserves a shot at Anderson Silva’s middleweight title before him.
Reports have suggested that Belfort could fight Anderson Silva for the title at UFC 108 on January 2nd, but those reports seems scraped due to Silva’s recent elbow surgery.
UFC president Dana White is still hopeful of putting together a fight between Belfort andAnderson Silva.
Marquardt has previously stated that he does not believe Belfort deserves a title shot so soon after returning to the UFC.
“I didn’t look for the fight. Actually, I would like to have a couple more fights,” he told MMA FanHouse. “I think [Marquardt] deserves it.”
