Michael Bisping believes Chuck Liddell will bounce back at UFC 97, following a knock-out loss to Rashad Evans in his last night.
Bisping believes The Iceman still has a chance of getting back with a win over Shogun Rua at UFC 97.
The Brit insists he would still pay to watch the 39-year-old fight if he loses his fight at UFC 97.
“If the Shogun that we’ve seen in his last two fights turns up, I think Chuck Liddell’s gonna beat him,” Bisping told Setanta Sports.
“It’s a shame to say it because I was a massive fan of Shogun but I think his best days are behind him.”
He continued: “Chuck Liddell’s a legend in the sport and he consistently fights top flight competition. Just lately he’s lost a few – so what?
“Sometimes I think it’s a bit harsh to talk of him retiring, but he’s pushing 40 these days and he’s taken a few losses.
“He’ll always be fondly remembered in the sport, but it’s up to Chuck to decide when he goes. If he loses this one, maybe he might want to consider it.
“But I’ll certainly pay to watch him fight again, and while there are people willing to pay to watch you fight…it’s hard to retire.”
