BJ Penn is confident ahead of his UFC 107 lightweight title defence against Diego Sanchez in December.
Sanchez is expected to pose problems for Penn, but The Prodigy is confident and feels like he has ‘already won’ the bout.
“I got nothing bad to say about Diego Sanchez – I think he’s a little strange here and there, but he’s a very credible opponent. He’s a good fighter; strong, good grappler, good wrestler and he’s improved his striking. I think he would have brought a lot of problems to me back in the day, but right now…” he told Fighters Only Magazine.
“I don’t know. I’ll just go out there and do my best and have fun. With that said, I feel like I’ve already won. I’m going out there and I’m going to get to live my dream one more night in front of everybody. When was the last time someone went right after Diego Sanchez? That’s a questions that his coaches better figure out. I’m coming baby.”
