The UFC have released Mark Coleman following his loss to Randy Couture at the UFC 109 event at the weekend.
Ugo.com claims their source in the UFC say the organization released Coleman as they are not ‘looking at a potential death in the Octagon’.
Coleman has told MMA Fighting that he will not retire from MMA and that he is still not sure that he had been cut from the UFC.
He said: “I’m still trying to figure out what’s going on. I want to fight in the UFC. I want to beat Tito Ortiz — bad — but really I just want to fight in the UFC. I’m healthy. I’m really just very disappointed and I feel like I can do better. I have a lot I need to work on…I just need to train harder.”
