Patrick Cote has announced on his Twitter that he has been released from his UFC contract.
Cote was cut by the UFC following his loss to Tom Lawlor at the recent UFC 121 event.
“I had a little hope but finally got the release word from the UFC. Its been an awesome experience ! I’ll be back!” he wrote on his Twitter feed.
Cote told Canadian newspaper the Calgary Sun: “Its tough to take but I was expecting it. Even if you have a good relationship with them it’s still a business. I’m not different to anybody else. I lost three fights in a row and they cut me.
“My heart is broken. The UFC is my home and I didn’t deliver in my last fight. I want to bounce back and be [back] in the UFC soon.”
