Cro Cop delighted with German fans

Croatian MMA star Mirko ‘Cro Cop’ Filipovic admits he was delighted with the Germans fans’ reaction to his win over Mostapha Al-Turk last weekend.

Cro Cop has confirmed he will leave the UFC, just one fight into his return, despite having verbally agreed a three-fight deal.

He told Index.hr: “They were magnificent, really great. There were chequered items all around, Croatian flags, everybody cheering.

“I almost felt bad for my opponent at one time cause they were booing him.

“I would like to fight again in that kind of atmosphere. It felt like home. That is the stuff that keeps me in training, adrenaline is indescribable. I wouldn’t change that for anything.”
