Marcus Davis has admitted he was desperate to win his fight with Jonathan Goulet at UFC 113 last Saturday.
Davis managed a second-round TKO and ended his two-fight losing streak.
“I’m looking at the kids and I’m thinking, ’Man, I might be unemployed. How am I going to take care of my kids? What’s my contribution going to be?’ ” Davis told the Boston Herald about his thoughts ahead of his fight with Goulet last Saturday.
“Mark DellaGrotte was screaming at me in this fight, ’Are your kids going to continue to go to private school and eat filet mignon or are your kids going to go to public school and eat beans and rice?’ That just made me snap to. He pushed my buttons and had me going.”
