Rashad Evans’ holiday wish is for a win against Thiago Silva at UFC 108 on January 2nd.
The 30-year-old will make his first fight in his pro career after losing.
Evans is coming off a knockout loss at the hands of current champion Lyoto Machida.
He told MMA FanHouse: “I was humbled big time. When you’re winning and things are going good, it seems like that’s how it’s always going to be. Things you know you should do, you kind of kind neglect because you’ve been getting away with it and winning.
“When you get your butt kicked, it’s like ‘Dang, if I would’ve tightend this up, or wouldn’t have done that, or listened here, it wouldn’t have happened.’ It definitely humbled me.”
“I’m just gonna show up and fight,” Evans added on his fight against Thiago Silva. “I feel like when I show up and fight, fans don’t leave disappointed. It just goes back to performing and executing. As long as I do that, I don’t think the fans will be disappointed at all.”
