M-1 Global vice-president Jerry Millen has revealed that Fedor Emelianenko is practicing his England for his US fans.
But Millen insists Fedor does not need to speak English in order to become a great fighter in the US.
“Fedor is learning some English, he is working on it. He will definitely be speaking some more English, you will see that. That won’t be a problem at all. He’s conscious of [needing] English to reach out to the fans.,” Millen told Fighters Only Magazine.
“But in America if you are a great fighter and you put on a great fight, I don’t think it matters that you don’t speak English. I’ve worked with Manny Pacquiao several times and he doesn’t speak great English but he’s a great fighter and people still love to see him fight.
“People watch fighters to fight, not to talk.”
