Franklin and Henderson to headline UFC 103

The UFC have confirmed that a rematch between Rich Franklin and Dan Henderson will be the main event of their UFC 103 event on September 9.

Franklin was expected to be a part of the main event, but that Henderson would be his opponent was a big surprise for MMA fans around the world.

Henderson was expected to meet middleweight champion Anderson Silva instead, but he will now be forced to beat Franklin to get a title shot.

Henderson managed to beat Franklin in their last meeting at UFC 93 in January this year.

Mirko Cro Cop will fight Junior dos Santos as part of the show on September 19, Cro Cop’s second fight on American soil.
