Franklin in need of new UFC deal

Rich Franklin is in need of a new contract with the UFC before his next fight for the organization.

Franklin managed a impressive win over Wanderlei Silva at UFC 99, in Germany, and reports have suggested that he could be set for a fight against Luiz Cane.

“I honestly don’t know,” Frankllin said to MMA FanHouse when asked about a fight at UFC 103.

“The fight that I had with Wanderlei was basically the last on my contract before we renegotiate so we’ll start doing that at this point in time and see where that takes us.”

MMA FanHouse believed Franklin’s next fight will be in October or November.
