Former UFC middleweight champion Rich Franklin insists he will remain at light heavyweight after his fight with Wanderlei Silva at UFC 99.
Franklin has been training with current middleweight title-holder Anderson Silva recently and that has helped him in his decision to remain at light heavyweight.
“I’ll say this much,” Franklin told the Dayton Daily News.
“With training with Anderson out here in L.A. and him being the champ at 185, it really makes me feel like I don’t have a place at 185 pounds anymore. I don’t see myself going to back to 185.”
Franklin has won seven of his nine bouts at 185-pounds since returning to the UFC back in 2005.
