French striker signs UFC deal

French veteran Cyrille “The Snake” Diabate has signed a four-fight deal with the UFC.

MMAjunkie.com says Diabate is expected to meet Luiz Cane at UFC 114 in May, as both fighters have agreed to the matchup.

Diabate has a strong Muay-Thai background and served as one of Dan Henderson’s striking coaches on “The Ultimate Fighter 9”.

UFC 114 is expected to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on May 29.

A matchup between Rashad Evans and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will reportedly headline the UFC 114 event.
