Former Ultimate Fighting Championship champion Forrest Griffin has for the first time commented on his loss to Anderson Silva at UFC 101 last month.
Griffin does not believe he needed to talk to the public after the defeat.
He told MMA30.com: “There’s no reason. That’s stupid. Any time I lose a fight, that’s what I’m doing from now on. … I’m tired of talking to people.
“I don’t know, man, it gets old, just all of it —people putting a lot of hopes and dreams on, and telling you they put money on you, and my kid’s idol. I don’t want to hear that (stuff). Get Tom Brady on your kid’s wall. Not me. …
“You’ve got to understand, I generally don’t like myself, so it really confuses me when other people seem to genuinely like me.”
