British UFC star Dan Hardy has revealed he has his sights on Georges St. Pierre after knocking out Rory Markham at UFC 95 last night.
Hardy impressed at London’s 02 Arena by knocking Markham out in just 69 seconds in the co-main event.
The referee jumped in to halt the bout, just 1:09 into the fight, after Hardy had floored the American with a terrific counter left punch.
After the game Hardy revealed that he is now looking for an fight against Canadian champ Georges St. Pierre.
Hardy told The Sun: "There are so many good guys in my division but I managed to lock eyes with Georges St Pierre outside the cage and we had a moment where I was like – `I`m coming for you, I`m coming for you.`
"But I know I`ve still got improvements to make.
"There are some guys I need to pick off on my way up to him.
"But whoever the UFC send me next, I`ll be ready."
The 26-year-old admitted that he wanted to prove that English fighters are not ‘second best’ in the MMA`s.
He added: "It was time to demonstrate and represent for the UK."
