British fighter Dan Hardy is confident he will make Marcus Davis bleed when the two clash at UFC 99, in Germany next Saturday.
Hardy and Davis have been involved in a public slanging match ahead of their meeting in Germany and the Brit insists it is not manufactured.
“Is this manufactured? Hell no. It has really escalated,” Hardy told Setanta Sports.
“He’s started whining and moaning about the stuff I’ve been saying, and then he came on Setanta and told lies that made him look stupid.
“He genuinely hates me, I’ve got no plans to be buddies after the fight. I’m planning on punching him in the face, if he’s not training hard to punch me in the face he’s making a big mistake. He’s got a puncher’s chance and that’s it.”
He added on his decision to train with boxing guru Freddie Roach: “He knows I’m faster and have good kickboxing, so if I’m getting advice from Freddie Roach that is obviously worrying him too.
“I definitely see him bleeding. From the end of the first round onwards, he will see his own blood on his skin and that will be a big factor in the fight.
“He had surgery on his cheekbones to file down the bones, but scar tissue is scar tissue and I open people up wide so he’s a perfect candidate for that.”
