Henderson to fight Anderson Silva for title

UFC President Dana White has confirmed that Dan Henderson is the next fighter in line for a shot at Anderson Silva’s UFC middleweight title.

Henderson had previously been scheduled to fight Rich Franklin at UFC 103, but Franklin will instead face newly signed Vitor Belfort at the event.

“When we announced that Rich Franklin was fighting Dan Henderson, there was some backlash, and people didn’t like it,” UFC president Dana White said last night.

“So we went out and just signed Vitor Belfort.  The fans didn’t like the card, we changed it and it’s now Rich Franklin vs Vitor Belfort headlining [at 103].”
