Zuffa, the parent company of the UFC and the WEC, have decided to release Chris Horodecki from their lightweight roster.
Horodecki had 2-2 from his time with the WEC, but will not make the move to the UFC as the two promotions merge.
Horodecki’s losses came against Donald Cerrone and Anthony Njokuani, while his wins came over Danny Downes and Ed Ratcliff.
“One door closes and another one opens,” Horodecki today told MMAjunkie.com. “I’ll be back sooner than later.”
Horodecki has refused to comment on if he will continue to fight as a lightweight or drop to the featherweight division for his future fights.
