Paul Kelly, who managed a convincing performance against Troy Mandaloniz at UFC 95, could be added to UFC 99, according to The Daily Telegraph.
Kelly won against Mandaloniz with a unanimous decision by the three judges. The two fighters had a war of words leading up to the fight, but Kelly admitted after his win that it was purely psychological.
He told The Daily Telegraph: "It’s a warning to anyone I am matched against. I’m going to Troy’s room shortly to speak to him. He’s a great guy, but I’m no friend to any opponent in the build-up."
Kelly has been branded as a ‘limited fighter’ by much of the press leading into the contest, but managed to prove them wrong with his performance against Mandaloniz.
He added: "Heart got me through that fight. I was under pressure after my last performance. This is my life, it means everything to me. The UFC wants exciting fights, exciting fighters and I want to leave everything I have in the Octagon in every fight I have.”
Now reports in The Daily Telegraph claim that Kelly, along with Terry Etim, could be added to the line-up for UFC 99 in Cologne, Germany.
