Kennedy beats Cummings

Former U.S. Army Green Beret Tim Kennedy managed to beat Zak Cummings in the Strikeforce Challengers event in Oklahoma on Friday night.
Cummings was undefeated ahead of the fight with Kennedy, but lost by a second-round submission in the main event.
Kennedy hailed his fellow members of the military after the fight.
“Everybody who’s watching this fight in Afghanistan and Iraq are my brothers and sisters,” Kennedy said afterward. “I love you guys and I’m sorry I’m not there. I did my business here. You do your business there.”
“I want the middleweight belt,” Kennedy added. “I’m excited.”
