Kongo taken to hospital after UFC 99

Cheick Kongo was taken to a Cologne hospital for a CAT scan after his fight against Cain Velasquez at UFC 99 on Saturday.

FightMetric claims Velasquez landed a total of 251 punches to Cheick Kongo’s head during the three-round fight.

Kongo was reported to be groggy after the fight and was taken to hospital to determine if he had suffered any serious damage to his head.

Fighters Only Magazine claims the CAT scan found no signs of any internally damage to Kongo’s head.
