Lashley to fight Griggs in August

Strikeforce heavyweight star Bobby Lashley will fight IFL veteran Chad Griggs in Houston, Texas on Saturday, August 21st.

Griggs works for the Tucson Fire Department and holds an 8-1 record in MMA and managed to knock out Jon Alexander in his last fight on April 25, 2009.

Griggs is looking forward to the fight with Lashley.

“Of course I am. It’s really a dream come true,” said Griggs in a recent interview with Fighters Only Magazine. “MMA is something I got involved with by walking into a gym. Once I did I fell in love with the sport.”

Lashley made his Strikeforce debut in his last fight, with a first round TKO over Wes Sims.
