Former Strikeforce middleweight champion ‘Ruthless’ Robbie Lawler has signed a new multi-year contract with the California based promotion.
Lawler is set for a shot at the Strikeforce middleweight title when he faces Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ DeSouza on Saturday, January 29th.
“Strikeforce has treated me good and I am happy to re-sign with them,” Lawler said.
“They have given me an opportunity to fight for the title and I’m looking forward to that and to fighting any and all of the top 185-pounders.’’
Lawler managed to beat Matt Lindland after just 50 seconds when they met on December 4th this year.
