M-1 Global executive Eugene Kogan insists Fedor Emelianenko has not turned down offers of a fight with Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem.
Overeem claimed in his post-fight speech last week that Emelianenko did not want to fight him.
“If he can point to where Fedor turned down a proposed fight, we’d like to hear it,” Kogan told Sherdog.
“We have nothing against Overeem as an opponent and we’re completely open to discussing that fight after June 26th, if Fedor does well [against Fabricio Werdum].”
Fedor will fight Fabricio Werdum in his next fight and the winner is set to be offered a title shit against Overeem.
