Lyoto Machida has revealed that he would be keen on a fight with Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson.
Machida believes Jackson would be an ‘ideal’ opponent for him for his next fight.
Machida is looking to bounce back from his loss to Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua at UFC 113.
“I think Quinton Jackson is the ideal opponent for me, a guy who was champ and among the best. He is a great opponent, a very tough guy. I have a respect for him as does everyone else but I would like to test my technique against him,” Machida told Sherdog.
Machida also commented on who he believes are the best fighters in the light-heavyweight division.
He said: “I think Shogun would be first as he is champion, maybe me second, Rashad third and maybe Quinton in fourth. Its hard to say… but I am hoping to become number one again.”
