Machida-Shogun rematch for UFC 114

The UFC has confirmed that a rematch between light-heavyweight champion Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida and Mauricio “Shogun” Rua have been signed.

The two will headline the UFC 113 event at the Montreal Bell Centre in Canada in May.

Their first meeting, at UFC 104, saw Machida win controversial decision.

“The first fight between Machida and Shogun was very controversial, I think fans are very excited to see them fight again and find out who the best light heavyweight in the world is,” said UFC President Dana White in a press release.
