Noons open to Diaz rematch at Strikeforce

Former EliteXC lightweight champion K.J. Noons insists he is open to a rematch with Nick Diaz who he managed to beat in November 2007.

EliteXC tried to get a rematch between the two after Noons had won the belt against Diaz, but that never happened.

EliteXC officials claimed Noons refused to fight Diaz and stripped him of the belt, but now both fighters are fighting under the Strikforce banner.

“Of course I’m interested down the line,” he said.

“I’m ready to get back in there and mix it up. I’m not calling anybody out or saying, ‘I want you’ right now. I’m just happy to be with Strikeforce, I’m happy to be back in MMA, and I just want to put on good fights for people.”
