Penn targets November return

Former UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn is targeting a November return to action.

Penn is looking to face an as-yet unnamed opponent on the UFC 123 card.

“Dana White texted me the last couple of days, and it looks like I’m probably going to be back in the ring in November sometime,” he said in a video blog posted to his site, BJPenn.com

“Dana’s trying to put the fight together, but that’s what I know as of right now, so I’ll keep you guys posted. This is going to be good.”

Penn has suffered back-to-back losses against Frankie Edgar, who managed to take his lightweight belt at UFC 112.
