Jens Pulver, who was desperate for a victory, admitted that his career is likely over, following his loss to Javier Vazquez at WEC 47.
Pulver, who is now 22-13-1, lost the fight through a first-round arm bar submission from Vazquez.
“I love you all way, way, way too much to put you all through this again,” Pulver said after the fight.
Pulver also took time to thank his son, wife and mother for backing him throughout his MMA career.
Vazquez admitted that he was sad about Pulver’s possible retirement.
“I would’ve been in his corner too,” said Vazquez. “I’m as big a fan of him as everyone else. It’s an honor to fight him. You will never hear me say a bad thing about him.”
