Roy Jones Jr insists he is looking forward to boxing UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, when the Brazilian’s contract with the UFC is done.
“I can’t wait for Anderson to get done with his contract, whenever that is — I’ve heard [September] — then let’s get it on,” Jones told the LA Times.
Silva has also admitted that he is looking forward to boxing after confirming his boxing aspirations.
“After my contract with the UFC ends and end my career in MMA, I intend to have a boxing match with Roy Jones,” Silva said last month in an interview with Portal das Luas.
“That’s something that’s already been arranged, it’s all practically a done deal. Now I just have to wait and see.”
Anderson Silva still has four more fights left in his contract with the UFC.
