Shogun reveals Machida surprise

Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua has revealed he was surprised when he boarded his flight taking him to the UFC 104 press conference in Los Angeles.

Shogun’s opponent at the UFC 104 event, Lyoto Machida, was sitting right next to him on the whole flight from Brazil.

“Well to tell you the truth Lyoto is a nice guy and we have been kind of friends for a while. But even though we are friends I got very surprised to see him on the plane – and actually sitting next to me like side by side on the whole flight from Brazil to here!” Rua said at the press conference.

“It was a funny situation but it will not affect the fight, we are professionals.”
