St. Pierre reckons Alves would beat Penn

Georges St. Pierre believes his upcoming opponent, Thiago Alves, would beat rival BJ Penn.

St. Pierre, who will face Alves at UFC 100, has taken a swipe at Penn, who has called him a cheater.

“If you put Thiago Alves and BJ Penn in a fight, I would bet all my money on Thiago Alves. No doubt about it,” St. Pierre said to MMA Fanhouse.

He added: “Thiago Alves is a gentleman. He’s not somebody who would trash talk to promote himself. He’s a very respectful guy.”
