Strikeforce champion keen on fight with Lesnar

Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem has admitted he would be keen on a fight with UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar.

Overeem has also commented on the forthcoming fight between Fabricio Werdum and Fedor Emelianenko.

“Every fight is different. It seems that for important fights, Werdum has problems. In a fight anything can happen. Even in training things can go wrong. Maybe Werdum gets injured towards his preparation for his fight with Fedor or Fedor sustains a new hand injury. it’s the fighting game, you never know,“ he told Fight Hype.

“Or maybe Scott [Coker, Strikeforce] and Dana [White, UFC] can work out a deal for a mega-fight to unify the belts and I fight Brock Lesnar. I would love that. I am the champion and I will fight whoever they put in front of me. To be the champion, you gotta beat me.”
