Torres to fight Volkmann at Fight Night 21

The UFC has confirmed a lightweight bout between Ronnys Torres and Jacob Volkmann for UFC Fight Night 21.

The event takes place at the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, North Carolina, on March 31.

Volkmann, who trains under Brock Lesnar’s coach Greg Nelson, will make his debut at lightweight.

Both fighters are coming off losses. Torres lost a unanimous decision to Melvin Guillard at UFC 109 while Volkmann has lost two fights at welterweight.

A bout between Kenny Florian and Takanori Gomi is set to headline the UFC Fight Night 21 event in North Carolina.
