UFC set to host event in Massachusetts

The UFC are expected to host an event in Massachusetts sometime in 2010, after the state Governor Deval Patrick on Monday signed into law a bill regulating mixed martial arts.

Patrick signed the bill just one month after it sailed through Massachusett’s House of Representatives.

The State Athletic Commission will oversee all combat sports in the state.

The UFC has previously all but promised that they will host an event in the Bay State when the sport gets sanctioned in the state.
