Wanderlei hints at Belfort rematch

Brazilian middleweight Wanderlei Silva expects to have a rematch with Vitor Belfort is the UFC signs his fellow countryman.

The two met at UFC Ultimate Brazil back in 1998, a fight Belfort won after just 44 seconds.

“That sequence of punches… I don’t know whether that was technique or anxiety. Many people told me he was dying of fear to face me so that must have been anxiety [that drove him],” he told Brazil’s Sensei Sport TV.

UFC president Dana White has confirmed that he is working on a deal with Belfort.
