Wanderlei Silva inspired by Shogun

UFC middleweight star Wanderlei Silva has revealed he has been inspired by UFC light-heavyweight champion Mauricio ‘Shogun’ Rua.
The two fighters were training partners at Chute Boxe some time ago.
“Before, he was known as the brother of Ninja – these days Ninja is known as the brother of Shogun!” Wanderlei says in this month‘s print edition of Tatame Magazine.
“And back then he wanted to be Wanderlei and he wanted to copy me, now I want to be the Shogun of the middleweight division! He has inspired me to come out and knock (bang) in my fights.”
