White believes Hardy has a bright future

UFC president Dana White believes British fighter Dan Hardy has a bright future within MMA.

Hardy lost to welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre on Saturday night.

“He did Britain proud in this fight and showed just how strong the UFC is becoming in Britain these days,” said White.

“He will be back stronger than ever. He is as tough as hell. How the heck he kept in there fighting I just don’t know. This guy is a real battler, believe me.

“It shows what a great fighter he is.

“I think Dan Hardy has a great future. He has a big hole in his game and that is his takedown defence – something that hits a lot of the guys from the UK.

“When he fills that void in his game, he is going to be very scary.”
