White confirms Boston plans

UFC president Dana White has confirmed plans to hold an event in Boston.

White surprised everyone when he revealed the home of the Boston Red Sox, Fenway Park, could be a potential venue for the event.

“We’re looking at doing it at Fenway,” White said when asked about the event.

White confirmed the news at the post-UFC 101 press conference.

“We’re going to Boston,” White said during a Q&A session with the UFC’s fan club this past Thursday. “We’re definitely going to Boston. … We’re going everywhere.”

Fenway Park opened in 1912 and currently seats 37,000.
