Winslow becomes first female UFC referee

Kim Winslow became the first female referee in the UFC ever, after being in charge of the fight between Nick Osipczak and Frank Lester at The Ultimate Fighter Finale.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission appointed Winslow to work at the finale on Saturday night.

UFC announcer Joe Rogan commented on Winslow a minute into the first round of the fight.

“I think this is the first time we’ve ever had a female referee,” Rogan said on the broadcast. “I just noticed that.”
